Disorganized, ran out of food items, unprepared. Maybe they're having a bad day -- Too much biz?Nice people, tho.
Good desserts and pastries, and quiche and sandwiches, the sadly nothing great. The best thing is the coffee, especially the cappuccinos and Cafe lattes. They also take part in a fad that I strongly dislike, that of suggesting a tip for food that has yet to be delivered and that you yourself have to throw out, box up if you're taking any home, and place the silverware in a specific plastic jar of soapy water. I don't like not leaving a tip, but this isn't tip worthy service. Overall however, a very good place to stop for a bite, especially if you're a tourist.
Great coffee and wonderful staff. This is a great place to start my day.
So nice to see some creativity. I had a Bahn Mi sandwich with Vietnamese pickled veggies. My husband had a BLT with duck bacon, nicely toasted. The side dish was tasty cous cous.
Really good coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Nice space to stay and eat if you like. Pork Bahn Mi at lunch is insane. Good prices, really nice space and vibe. Beats the hell out of chain coffee.
I love the old feeling here. Very pricey for a cup of coffee.
If you would like a fresh smoothie to start your day, this is the place for you! My carrot mango ginger smoothie was tasty! They have many other breakfast items to choose from as well. They also serve lunch and cater.
Food is exquisite, fresh, organic. The kind of food that you want to pay for when you dine out. Service has always been exceptional as well.
Always great. Be will to wait some during vacation season. Good food, gluten free and vegan available as well.
I don't like writing bad reviews. But there are some things that need to be addressed. I'll start with the pros. The atmosphere is nice. It is big and roomy. The seats are comfortable. That is about it. The staff were unpleasant. Not rude but just no emotions. The coffee didn't really taste like anything. And afterwards everyone in my group got sick. I'm not sure if it was good Poison but none of us felt good. I will not be coming here again.
We stop here every year, on our way home after camping on Mt Desert. Good coffee and great breakfast wraps.
The coffee wasn't great and the staff could have been friendlier. The cafe itself is way cute and has a whole host of local art for sale.
Great place to pick up lunch on the way to the beach!
Perfect spot to grab a few delicious sandwiches and take them up to Acadia National Park.
The food is good but the atmosphere in there is great
Great place to grab lunch or a coffee and pastry. Fast and friendly service. The building itself is not very nice but it adds to the downtown coffee house feel of the establishment.
Food great everyone stop in
Nice place for breakfast or lunch. Meet your friends and relax.
I decided to visit based on others reviews of Flexit. My experience was delightful. Great customer service, excellent food and relaxing atmosphere. I will surely be back to visit this great "little" cafe and bakery!
Best breakfast sandwich going! If you are headed to Acadia for a day of hiking stop and fuel up your body!! Grab a hot drink or fantastic am too.
Best breakfast, coffee and pastries in Ellsworth, Maine! They use their mother recipe for their muffins! Awesome! I come here every morning when I’m working in Ellsworth. Their cheese danish is the best I have ever had!! Coffee is good. Ladies and gentlemen here are so so nice. Try avocado toast and scrambled eggs! Amazing yummmmm.
Fantastic little cafe. So far the best on the ECGreenway that I can find - $1 coffee!!! Great owner.
Great spot to grab a coffee, with fast service and parking in the back.
Great soups and sandwiches. Plenty of parking in the back.
Excellent service...excellent food and coffee!
Fresh juices, great coffee, a fantastic breakfast burrito (Bobby Lane??), delicious snacks, amazing staff. This place gets packed so plan accordingly.
Great coffe drink selection, excellent smoothies. Quiche is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Good sandwiches. Great sweets for breakfast, dessert or take home. Cool, hipster vibe. Big, comfy couches and armchairs along with the tables. Newspapers and magazines to read if you haven't brought anything. Also, there is a little artisan gallery next door, with a window looking into the shop from the cafe.
Very good pastries. Coffee is good as well, though I did order a latte, and was served a cappuccino... There is a difference! Staff seems nice overall. I did catch one staff member who was slightly rude to paying customers using the public restroom, she could have been having a bad day, though. I also tried a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. Just a simple bacon, egg, and cheese. Smelled amazing, but was disappointed. I also noticed someone had started to put guacamole on it and just scraped it off, there was still some left in the center. Not good if a customer had an allergy.I do like the the atmosphere of the cafe, that is what has brought me back. They do have board games available, but I do wish they had some books, as well. That would keep customers longer!
Wonderful place! The quiche and pastries are amazing! Good coffee and smoothies as well, my husband was impressed. If you want fresh sandwiches though, go before 4PM since they stop making them at 4.
Fast service with wide variety of smoothies, fresh juice's, coffee and teas along with pastries, sandwiches and salads to go/eat-in. Patio seating outside and inside. Prices are very reasonable and what I'd expect to pay at a cafe.
Staff took off their masks to eat over the prep counter. The wait for 3 sandwiches and a bagel took 30 minutes.
Great coffee (espresso and regular drip), delicious vegetable egg breakfast sandwich, refreshing greens salad on the side of the Turkey sandwich, and love all the progressive art peppering the walls. Visiting the area from a larger city this felt like a little pocket of home. Prices that make sense. Very open atmosphere, couches for hanging out solo or tables for a meal with companions. Many, many options for a la carte breakfast as well which is great (hard boiled eggs, individual Greek yogurts, fruit, etc). 10/10 would recommend and go back.
This place is so comforting you may not want to ever leave. The food is so good its the kinda place to sit while getting some work done on the free wifi and sampling everything on the menu while doing it! Me and my wife had a business meeting there today and were super pleased with the place. We shared the spinach quiche over coffee before the meeting and it was the highlight of our morning. Perfectly prepared food and coffee as well as an inviting atmosphere makes this our new go to place!
This place was awful. It so desperately wants to be cool with it's hipster crew and pretentious menu items (that don't begin to live up to their names. I love the creativity, but if you can't back it up with flavor, don't even try). There were 6 employees behind the counter, no one waiting ahead of me, and it still took 20 minutes for them to make a hummus wrap. They obviously hire based on looks and hipster attire, because this crew was seriously lacking. None of my food was good (hummus wrap with tabouli side), and it certainly wasn't work $12. Will venture elsewhere next time. (Try Morton Moos Icecream around the corner. It was fantastic, and their staff werebawesome).
Always quality interesting and tasty food and drink options.
I loved this place! I have Celiac Disease so sometimes finding a place for lunch is difficult. Their food is superb and they have gluten free desserts!! Now how good is that!! My friends who eat regular food said their lunches were delicious as well.
Great panini, excellent staf!!
My favorite place to go for a bite to eat and sit down and relax. They have spinach pastries that are just delicious and unique to this place. Have had breakfast here as well as their paninis and have never been disappointed. Cubana panini is especially tasty. Bakery goods are always delicious and they make them fresh daily.
The food is always incredible here. I've never been disappointed. Love the cafe atmosphere for working too.
This place is awesome! Great coffee, delicious sandwiches and pastries and a great homey, arty vibe. Comfy chairs. Free wifi. And surrounded by other cool small businesses: artists, clothiers, bakers (a whoopie pie shop!). So glad we stopped here!
Just went the other day and really liked it. Good atmosphere.
Friendly staff and amazing lunch food. Cookies and smoothies are also very tasty. I appreciate that they source so much locally.
Caprese sandwich, even sullied with the gluten free bread I require, was wonderful, all the tastes fresh and like they should taste! Gazpacho was wonderful. Slightly pricey, but worth it!
Always love your go-fast sandwiches and smoothies!
Lovely setting and yummy food, just pricey. I ordered a small salad with toasted tempeh, which was $9+ after tax. For the price, I would've liked to see more tempeh ($3 extra for 6 small pieces) and other toppings in the salad other than greens and carrots (like nuts and fruits). My friends loved their coffee though, and I was very jealous of the breakfast special one of them ordered. It was a runny egg with cheese, tomato, and spinach on a pastry-style bun. It was also only about $4! I tried a piece of my other friend's sticky bun and was also very impressed. The desserts are very tempting and delicious.
Great Breakfast Sandwiches!!! Great service!! So good!
My partner and I popped in for a quick bite and had some of their delicious Breakfast sandwiches (A bacon/pepper-jack and sausage/swiss) both were delicious and the eggs were perfect. Plus, given the proclivity for price gouging in beautiful downtowns, the price was positively perfect!
I love the food and beverage ☕
Looks nice but kind of slow service...
Great place to chill out and have coffee
